The Ride for Hope organising group is committed to supporting the health, wellbeing and safety of everyone taking part. This statement explains what you can expect from us and what we ask of you to help keep the event safe, inclusive and enjoyable.
Our commitment to you
- We will respect your choice about how you and any children in your care take part, while asking you to stay within your abilities and follow age restrictions.
- We will make reasonable efforts to provide safe facilities and an enjoyable event environment.
- We will ensure volunteers and staff are suitably experienced and provide first aid and welfare cover.
- If you tell us about a disability affecting access, we will consider reasonable adjustments. Adapted bikes will be available at set times; please ask staff if you need support.
- We will promote respect, inclusion and wellbeing.
Your commitment to us
- Only take part if you are fit and well enough to do so, and tell staff immediately if you feel unwell.
- Exercise carries risks. Please take part responsibly and follow all safety guidance and staff instructions.
- Tell us straight away if anything feels unsafe.
- If you have a disability or medical condition, use your judgement and follow relevant professional advice.
- Parents and guardians are responsible for the safe participation of children in their care.
- Please treat other riders, volunteers and staff with respect and consideration.
Together, we can make Ride for Hope a safe, inclusive and supportive charity cycling challenge.
